    Amazing value for the money

Posted by Rod Wallbridge on 7th Dec 2016

As a Hunter & Fisher, I'm often using tools with blades so I own a number of blade sharpening and honing equipment and use them quite a lot, so I was interested in this sharpening steel. And as I didn't think I was much at risk at the low price either, I ordered one! I'm so glad I did! My first try out was on touching up the blades on my 1950's Joseph Rodgers bunny knife...I was impressed, to say the least. Next use was on a cheap 1960's stainless steel filleting knife I inherited from my Mother when she gave up fishing in her 90's. I'd never been able to sharpen it no matter what way I tried to. Those of you who've tried to fillet an un-scaled Maori Cod will know how tough they are to cut through, so you'll know how amazed I was when this crappy blade just went through it like a hot knife through butter!!! The blade took the skin off the fillet as if the skin had never been attached to the fish! Buy one before they all go at this price!
